Photo and film, one creative vision. Behind the camera since 2012, shooting professionally since 2019, and making films since 2021, starting on Awaken Church's film team. I shoot both because the same eye that frames a still decides where the film goes next.
A camera first
I've been behind a camera since 2012, and shooting professionally since 2019.
Film, on a church film team
In 2021 I started serving on Awaken Church's film team. That's where film became more than a hobby: services, baptisms, worship nights and stories for a community of ten thousand. Since then I've documented 200+ events and 70+ weddings.
I started on Awaken Church's gear before I funded my own Canon. The film team shot on Sony, and FX3s are great cameras, but when I switched to the Lumix S5IIX for its hybrid capabilities I never looked back. Lumix is right for hybrid shooters like me, and I own three cameras now.
I served as much as I could: stacking experience, leading and teaching others.
Why both
A photograph decides what a moment means. A film decides what happens next. When one person is directing both, the photos and the film tell the same story instead of two versions of it.
Couples book film, photo, or both. For elopements, intimate days and smaller weddings, I can shoot photo and film myself. For a full-size wedding, Hybrid Day + 2nd Shooter or a Full Team covers both, with everyone working from one plan — one style, one point of contact.
For conferences and events, engagements, quinceañeras, brands, milestones and families, I shoot photo and film myself, scoped to what the job needs.

I spent those years building God's house, and He built mine.
