Hiring Wedding Photo and Video Together vs Separately

Book photo and video together when you want one plan and one look: a hybrid package (one creative, from $2,495) for smaller days, or a Full Team (a film team and a photo team, from $6,495) for a full-size wedding. Book separately when you already have a photographer or videographer you love.

What are the three ways to book?

  • — Hybrid: I shoot photo and film myself — Hybrid Elopement $2,495, Hybrid Day $4,495, Hybrid Day + 2nd Shooter $4,995.
  • — Full Team: a film team and a photo team working from one plan — Covenant Team $6,495, Legacy Team $8,495.
  • — Separately: a film tier ($2,000 and up) or a photo tier ($1,495 and up) from me, with another company covering the other side.

When is a hybrid package the right call?

For elopements, intimate days and smaller weddings. Hybrid Day is for up to 75 guests, and every moment is covered by one person who knows both cameras. When the day is bigger, Hybrid Day + 2nd Shooter ($4,995) adds a dedicated second shooter so two places are covered at once.

When do you need a Full Team?

For a full-size wedding, where the ceremony, the getting-ready rooms and the reception all need their own coverage. A Full Team is two complete crews: the film side and the photo side of a tier, working from the same timeline and shot plan.

  • — Covenant Team — $6,495: The Covenant film (8 hours, 3 cameras, with a second camera operator for ceremony and reception) plus The Covenant photography (8 hours of coverage, 2 photographers). $9,490 if booked separately.
  • — Legacy Team — $8,495: The Legacy film (10 hours, lead + 2nd videographer) plus The Legacy photography (10 hours of coverage, Lead + 2nd photographer). $14,990 if booked separately.

Is it cheaper to book together?

With a Full Team, yes: the Covenant Team is $6,495 against $9,490 for the same film and photo tiers booked one by one, and the Legacy Team is $8,495 against $14,990.

What changes on the day?

Couples book film, photo, or both. For elopements, intimate days and smaller weddings, I can shoot photo and film myself. For a full-size wedding, Hybrid Day + 2nd Shooter or a Full Team covers both, with everyone working from one plan — one style, one point of contact.

With one studio, the photographer and the camera operators aren't competing for the same spot at the end of the aisle: one holds the portrait while the film catches the reaction across the room. With two companies, it can work well, but the two teams usually meet for the first time on your wedding day.

Kris + Pearl's first look is the example: a photograph and a film of the same seconds, from one plan.

What if I already have a photographer?

Keep them. Book a film tier on its own (Elopement Film $2,000, The Vow $3,495, The Covenant $4,995, The Legacy $7,995) and I'll share my timeline with your photographer so we're working from the same plan. The same goes the other way with the photo tiers (Elopement Photos $1,495, The Vow $2,995, The Covenant $4,495, The Legacy $6,995).

Which one fits your day?

The 2027 quiz asks your wedding year, your guest count and whether you want photo, video or both, then suggests a package.
